ECYD
Girls

Welcome to ECYD Houston

ECYD facilitates deep and impactful encounters with Christ for 5th-12th grade girls, accompany these young women, their families, and form on-fire apostles ready to transform society with the Lord’s life-changing love. We offer one-on-one accompaniment, small groups, retreats, missions, camps, and pilgrimages—all to help girls live and thrive in their relationship with God and their God-given mission.

The ECYD member walks with their friend Jesus, accompanied by others, sharing a mission and with eyes fixed on the final destination, heaven.

Name

Gaby Mares-Boles was raised in Mexico, but has lived in Houston for the past 20+ years.  She has a BS in Civil Engineering from UT-El Paso and her MS in Construction Management from MIT.  She worked in the oil and gas business for 18 years in the field of Project Management, and she and her family have relocated in/out of the country for work multiple times. Recently, she and her husband, Terry Boles, celebrated 20 years of marriage, and they have 4 children.   Their family was first introduced to Regnum Christi at Northwoods Catholic School, and ever since, their children have grown up being part of ECYD and RC.  Gaby has served as a volunteer supporting the ECYD Girls and Boys sections for the past 8 years, in various roles within each section.  Gaby associated to Regnum Christi 2 years ago, and has also been supporting the Women North Section in various roles.

Amelia Hoover is from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She joined a discernment program in high school with the Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi. Amelia was consecrated in 2010, studied her Bachelor’s in Religious and Pastoral Studies, and then received her assignment to Washington, D.C. While in D.C., she completed a Youth Ministry Certificate Program through Franciscan University. Amelia served in ECYD for 8 years in the DC area and loved being able to accompany the young women to deep encounters with our Lord and greater confidence in their call to do great things for him. She continues as a mentor and formator for ECYD in Houston. Amelia is now serving as the director of the community of Consecrated Women and is a member of the Houston RC Local College.

Lourdes Perez was born in Mexico City, where she grew up and met the Movement through her school. Lu joined RC in high school and was a missionary in Overbrook Academy in 2004-2005. Before being consecrated, she earned a degree in Communication from Anahuac University in Mexico City and worked at Hewlett-Packard for a year in marketing.

She was consecrated in 2010 and studied in Monterrey for 4 years, where she earned a bachelor’s in Religious and Pastoral Studies and received an assignment to Atlanta, GA, to work with ECYD, where she was for 1 year. After this year, she moved to Rhode Island, where she served at Overbrook Academy for seven years. Five years as a Formation Instructor and two years as the Formation Director. Four of these years, she also served as the Local Director for the RCMC. She is serving in Houston as part of the Youth team. She is also the Director of the RCMC program in North America.
